About the association
A volunteer group with a very specific job.
The PPA exists to look after the practical, unglamorous things that keep Pemaquid Point livable and beautiful — and to give the people who care about it a way to have a say.
What the Association does
The PPA represents its members in dealings with the town, sets rules to protect property from fire hazards, coordinates trash removal, and works with Bristol on parking and policing at the Point.
It also enhances the natural beauty of the Point and arranges cottage inspectors — plus anything else the membership decides is worth doing, within Maine nonprofit law.
Who can join
If you own property on the Point, you're eligible for Active membership. If you don't own property but care about the place, you can join as an Associate — no deed required.

Two ways to belong to the Point.
The PPA is a Maine nonprofit, founded in 1941, with over 200 member households. Dues fund cottage inspections, the annual meeting, and the small things that keep the Point running well.
Property owners
Active
$50 / year
- For owners south of and including Bay Pines Road
- One vote per property at the annual meeting
- Biweekly exterior cottage inspections, Oct–June
- All co-owners can attend social events
- Listed in the member directory
Anyone who loves the Point
Associate
$25 / year
- Open to anyone, no property required
- Full access to social events
- Listed in the member directory
- Same website access as Active members
- No vote at the annual business meeting
